Spotting this need of the visitors to the website, the site quickly changed direction and instead of simply offering advice, began promoting a service to help eligible workers claim the money they were entitled to.
Since the website launched this no win no fee service, its been a very popular addition to the site. Visitors to the site can now either use the information on the site to launch their own claim, or undertake the services on offer to outsource the process for claiming their uniform tax rbate. As the claims can be made back as far as four years, the amounts received in overpaid tax can be quite substantial. Another benefit to making the claim and notifying the HMRC that the worker is paying for the upkeep of their uniform themselves, is that their tax code will be adjusted to reflect this situation in the future.
